Connectivity
ANS Online utilizes connections to multiple backbones
to ensure that data reaches the end-user in the fastest,
most efficient manner possible, using BGP4 routing and
our Cisco network. We have relationships with multiple
Tier 1 providers like AT&T, Qwest, Sprint, as well
as local second-tier providers.
Power
Our facilities have backup battery power that
immediately engages should a power surge, brownout or
blackout occur. Precisely 8 seconds later, our exterior
natural gas-powered generator kicks on and begins to
recharge the battery backup.
Monitoring
All servers are monitored 24 hours a day and ANS
Technicians are
paged if any problems occur. Additionally, we can provide
our customers with SNMP alert services so they can be
notified and take any appropriate action.
Backup
Capabilities
ANS performs daily backups of system files for all
servers. At pre-determined intervals, and within regular
production schedules, ANS performs additional tape
backup of files and keeps these tapes in off-site
data storage facilities. We provide each user with
a "remote
disk drive" so
files can be stored on our servers which are backed
up every day. Users do have the choice to save files
on our servers in their "remote disk drive" or
on their own computers.
