Network Solutions and Fidelity Access Networks forms
partnership to offer high speed remote computing and
ASP services to users throughout Ohio.
AKRON, OHIO & CLEVELAND,
OHIO – September 9, 2002 – Advanced
Network Solutions, Inc. (ANS), who formally started
their ASP (Application Service Provider) service with
the opening of their new data center in Akron last month,
and Fidelity Access Networks, an ISP offering high-speed
T1 connections to Northeast Ohio, have formed a partnership.
The partnership is aimed at providing ANS customers
with high speed, private and public access networks
to support its growing ASP business while adding ASP
Hosting, Data Mirroring and other services to Fidelity’s
client base.
Through its ASP offering, Advanced
Network Solutions provides customers their own virtual
data center to operate specific core business software
applications or all of its applications. Customers access
their applications securely over the pubic Internet
or through the private Fidelity Access Network. Customers
need a standard web browser to gain access to a custom
tailored menu of their applications. All management,
software updates, licensing and help desk is provided
by ANS professional staff.
Fidelity Access Networks’ network
core is based on self-healing sonnet ring technology
and the latest Cisco hardware. The network is a private
network with nodes all over NE Ohio, Toledo and Columbus
with new nodes being added to service other areas. To
provide redundancy for its Internet access, the network
has multiple links to Tier one Internet providers, thus
insuring a great deal of fault-tolerance for all of
its clients. Fidelity’s network service managers
monitor the system 24x7 and have one of the most responsive
and efficient customer service systems in the business.
